Waste Is A Real Problem
Waste is a costly problem. If you’re in the food manufacturing industry, you’ll be well aware of how costly waste is to your day-to-day operations. In fact, food manufacturers have to deal with around 5% waste within their processes under normal production. That’s a lot of waste to keep on top of, and a lot of time and resources spent doing so. Effective waste management in food manufacturing is a must. In addition to the cost of ingredients, wasted products can also mean wasted packaging, increased utility charges and inefficient use of resources. In turn, these can affect customer deadlines and public opinion, not to mention the stress of trying to avoid this in future.
When implementing a waste management solution, you’ll want a means of doing so that is efficient, consistent and reliable. Here at Stevens Traceability, we have just the answer…
Introducing Waste Dynamic
Waste Dynamic allows you to enhance traceability and manage yield loss to support the continuous improvement and efficient management of your business’ waste cycle. More specifically, Waste Dynamic enables you to track, analyse and report on waste in the production process, by plant, line or stock keeping unit.
Waste Dynamic is a modular component of the Stevens Traceability System. As a result, you can add it to an existing setup of ours that you might have already, or you can implement it as a standalone waste management system. More information on this further below.
What Do You Get With Waste Dynamic?
Waste Dynamic is the ideal solution to ensuring your production processes are running smoothly and efficiently, providing everything necessary to make your decisions more informed moving forward. When doing this, Waste Dynamic makes use of 4 key features…
Touchscreen Operation: The use of touchscreen technology simplifies operator training and promotes consistent data entry. As such, Waste Dynamic is easy to use, keeping usage time down so your focus can remain on production.
Monitoring Of Waste Status: Keep on top of your waste with clear monitoring and ensure correct scheduling of collections with real-time data. Avoid the cost and inefficiency of underweight waste collections, as well as the delay caused by overweight waste bins.
Summary And Detailed Waste Reports: You’ll be able to identify variations in performance, enabling you to make your production processes more efficient. Use summary and waste reports to inform future adaptations to your processes. Reduce and optimise the cost of materials, labour and energy.
Controlled Waste Process: Maintain control over your waste process at every stage. Waste Dynamic provides logical steps that provide visibility and prevent shortcuts from occurring in the process. More importantly, our system delivers reliable waste data that your business can count on.

Why Choose Waste Dynamic?
Waste Dynamic ensures consistent data entry across all levels of the waste management process. Its touchscreen interface makes data input clear to the user and reduces any likelihood of input error. As a result, you know your business is dealing with reliable waste data that you can count on for effective waste management.
Increased insight into your production processes means reduced ingredient waste. Less ingredient waste then leads to savings on packaging, energy and manpower in managing that waste. Being able to identify variations in batches with real-time reporting functionality allows you and your business to make informed decisions at every step.
Maintain clarity across the board, with company wide availability of waste data and global access to data. This means any information you need is easily accessible wherever, whenever you need it. Ensure timely and efficient collections, with real-time data that is readily available, you’ll then be able to optimise collections to suit your production processes.
How Can You Implement Waste Dynamic?
Waste Dynamic is a modular component of the Stevens Traceability System. This means it can be added to an existing Stevens system, or implemented individually as a standalone waste management system:
If you implement it as an integrated system, the Waste Dynamic software sits within the Stevens core system database. It is then accessed via your onsite local network. This provides your business with all the Waste Dynamic functionality on your waste terminals, and associated waste reports in Stevens Management. This integrated system allows Stevens Reports to show actual waste against actual produced values across the Stevens System.

On the other hand, if you’re looking at implementing Waste Dynamic as a standalone system, there are two different ways this can be done. Option 1, similar to an integrated system, consists of simply connecting Waste Dynamic to your local network, providing you with local waste management software for your terminals, as well as waste management reports.

Alternatively, the standalone option 2 operates independently of your local network. It benefits from all the same waste management software functionality and reports. However, real-time reports and data for collection would need uploading to your waste management company via a 4G connection.
